What is a forged basket

Forged basket (also forged basket) is a decorative element made of twisted steel rods that form the three-dimensional shape of a lantern basket. This is not a wicker basket or a shopping basket, but detail of artistic forging: it is welded into the structure as a three-dimensional accent. The basket is usually placed in the center of the bar of the section — it adds "depth" to the product and a hand-made effect, which is not given by flat curls.

Where forged baskets are used

gates and wickets — three-dimensional central accent of the sash;

fences and fences — rhythmic inserts by sections;

railings, balconies, stairs — decor between racks;

forged furniture, lamps, lanterns — as a decorative knot.

Along with baskets, is used for three-dimensional accents balls and rosettes.

1. The base is under the section bar: the cross-section of the basket (base) must coincide with the bar into which it is embedded (12×12 to 12×12, etc.) - then the element will be even and well welded;
