Forged spikes - tips for gates, fences and fences

Forged peaks (they are also called tips, tops, pommels or spears) are elements that are installed on top of sections of gates, wickets, fences and fences. They perform two functions at once: decorative — complete the view of the section, and protective — make it difficult to climb over the fence. Types of peaks and tips

Forged peaks "spear" — the classic sharp shape, the most common for fences and gates;

peaks with a base under the pipe (round base 12–40 mm) — the rod section is mounted on a round professional pipe;

peaks with square root (15×15–40×40 mm) — for a square bar and a professional pipe;

tops (top) — three-dimensional tips with a height of 45–90 mm for pillars and gate supports.

The peak height is from 60 to 200 mm, so you can choose a tip for any section - from a light fence to a massive entrance gate.

Forged spikes for gates and fences - why

Peaks (tips) are the final touch of the section: a row of identical peaks on top of the fence or gate makes the fence neat, complete and more status-like, and the sharp points deter uninvited guests. In combination with curls, rosettes and bullets spikes form a single style of wrought iron fence. All positions are in the section forged elements.

How to choose forged peaks

The basis is for your profile: the main rule is that the base of the peak must correspond to the cross-section of the rod/tube of the section (round base to round tube, square to square). Then the pica is tightly planted and well cooked.

Size - under the scale of the fence: for light fences — peaks of 80–130 mm, for gates and high fences — 140–200 mm.

Quantity: is calculated by the number of bars in the sections.

Material and quality

The picks are made by the method of hot forging from St3 grade steel, which ensures high strength and resistance to loads. The surface is prepared for further painting — process the peaks primer and metal paint for corrosion protection.

The price of forged picks is from the manufacturer: from ~11 ₴ for small tips to several hundred hryvnias for large tips. There is a wholesale discount for volume (from 50 to 500 pieces depending on the position for a peak), and individual prices for workshops and gate manufacturers.
